A filmmaker rooted in African truth.
Founder & Creative Director — A L E K A M O I Studios
I believe cinema is more than entertainment — it's a language capable of preserving history, inspiring communities, and transforming perspectives. My work combines technical precision with artistic vision to create films that are visually striking and emotionally authentic. Through A L E K A M O I Studios, I strive to produce cinematic experiences that meet international standards while remaining deeply rooted in African stories.
Currently pursuing a Diploma in Advanced Video Editing and Sound Recording, I am building my career around a simple belief: African stories deserve the highest standards of cinematic craftsmanship, intentionality, and creative excellence.
My work brings together storytelling, technical precision, and creative direction to produce films that are emotionally engaging, culturally relevant, and professionally executed. Whether documenting real lives, shaping brand narratives, or capturing significant moments, I strive to create films that leave a lasting impression on their audiences.
Beyond client work, my long-term vision is to contribute to the growth of African cinema by developing original films and building A L E K A M O I Studios into a production company recognized for excellence, innovation, and meaningful storytelling.
"The ambition is not modesty. This is a studio being built to operate at the scale of the great houses — telling African stories for the world."
Six disciplines, one instinct. Each practice sharpens the others — the drawing trains the eye, the edit disciplines the story, the story demands more from the image.
The formation is not the goal — it is the foundation the goal requires. A L E K A M O I Studios is being built in parallel with this education: each day of study informing the productions, each production strengthening the study. The aim is an African production house operating at full international standard — not as an aspiration, but as the only acceptable outcome.
The continent has produced extraordinary human experience — lives, conflicts, triumphs, and truths that deserve more than shallow representation. A L E K A M O I Studios exists to give those stories the cinematic weight they warrant. Not content. Not coverage. Cinema — made with full craft and full intention, from inside Africa, for the world.
Everything here — the disciplines, the formation, the conviction — flows into the studio. A L E K A M O I Studios is the structure through which clients commission cinematic event films, brand storytelling, documentaries, and post-production work.
Original African narratives — stories rooted in local truth, crafted for continental and global audiences.

"The graphite study and the cinematic frame are the same gesture — an act of looking with full attention."
My fine art practice is not separate from my film work — it is the same discipline in a different medium. Cinematic Graphite Portraiture applies the directorial instinct to the drawn portrait: dramatic shadow, emotional realism, and the precise arrangement of tone to reveal character. Drawing teaches the eye to slow down. Film teaches it to move with purpose. Together, they produce a standard of visual attention I hold to every frame, every study, every frame that is also a study.
Open to collaborations, commissions, and conversations about storytelling, film, and the visual arts. Whether it's a film project, a graphite portrait, or a creative consultation — reach out.
